Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of Job Hunters, a Zimbabwe-based online platform that helps candidates discover jobs and other opportunities, build professional profiles, and engage with employers, recruiters, institutions, NGOs, and other opportunity providers.
By accessing, browsing, creating an account on, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional rules, guidelines, or notices we publish on the platform from time to time. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.
In these Terms, 'Job Hunters', 'Platform', 'we', 'us', and 'our' refer to the platform operator. 'Candidate' or 'job seeker' means any individual using the platform to create a profile, upload a CV, apply for opportunities, or seek career-related information. 'Employer' includes an employer, recruiter, institution, NGO, company, agency, or other opportunity provider. 'User' means any person or entity using the platform. 'Content' includes text, images, documents, CVs, listings, profile information, and other materials submitted to or displayed on the platform. 'Opportunity' includes jobs, internships, tenders, events, scholarships, fellowships, grants, training programmes, competitions, and similar offerings. 'Third-party listing' means any listing, announcement, or opportunity supplied by, linked to, or reposted from a third party.

Eligibility
You may use the platform only if you have legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the laws of Zimbabwe and any other laws that apply to you.
If you are using the platform for work-seeking, hiring, advertising, or commercial purposes on behalf of another person or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that person or organisation to these Terms.
- You must be at least 18 years old to create and manage an account without additional consent.
- Where the platform is used by or for minors in connection with internships, scholarships, educational opportunities, or youth programmes, the user must ensure any legally required parent, guardian, school, or institutional consent has been obtained.
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information at registration and keep it updated.
3
Nature of the Platform
Job Hunters is an information, job discovery, recruitment-support, and opportunity-sharing platform. It may operate as a job board, opportunity directory, profile-hosting service, employer onboarding service, and recruitment-support platform.
Unless expressly agreed by us in writing, Job Hunters is not the employer of any candidate, not the employee or contractor of any employer, not the principal of any user, and not the legal agent or representative of any employer, recruiter, candidate, school, NGO, or institution.
Use of the platform does not create an employment relationship, agency relationship, partnership, fiduciary duty, joint venture, or placement guarantee between Job Hunters and any user. Any employment, internship, funding, scholarship, admission, or other relationship is strictly between the relevant user and the third-party opportunity provider.
Where our activities could fall within recruitment or employment-agency-support functions, users acknowledge that the platform is intended primarily as a technology and information service. Any regulated recruitment, placement, or agency services will be subject to separate written arrangements where required by Zimbabwean law, including any applicable labour or employment agency regulations.
4
Candidate Accounts and Profiles
Candidates may create accounts and profiles, upload CVs or resumes, submit employment history, qualifications, skills, preferences, salary expectations, contact details, and other recruitment-related information.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential, controlling access to your account, and ensuring that any information you submit is accurate, not misleading, and lawfully provided.
By creating a candidate profile, you authorise us to host, display, process, index, organise, and share your information in ways reasonably necessary for profile creation, employer review, job matching, shortlisting, applications, communications, fraud prevention, legal compliance, analytics, and platform improvement, subject to your profile visibility settings and our Privacy Policy.
- You must not create a profile on behalf of another person without lawful authority.
- You must not upload false qualifications, fake references, forged documents, or misleading work history.
- You remain responsible for reviewing your profile before applying for any opportunity.
5
Employer and Recruiter Accounts
Employers, recruiters, institutions, and other opportunity providers may apply for access to create accounts, onboard their organisations, and publish opportunities.
We may approve, refuse, suspend, delay, or revoke employer onboarding at our sole discretion, including where we are unable to verify an organisation, where listings appear risky or unlawful, or where the onboarding creates regulatory, legal, or reputational risk for the platform.
Employers are solely responsible for their recruitment decisions, their hiring practices, their candidate communications, and their compliance with applicable law, including the Labour Act [Chapter 28:01], anti-discrimination requirements, and any licensing or registration obligations that apply to their activities in Zimbabwe or elsewhere.
- Employers must provide truthful organisation details and accurate opportunity information.
- Employers must not publish discriminatory, exploitative, misleading, or illegal listings.
- Employers must not request unlawful application fees, deposits, processing charges, or similar payments from candidates unless clearly lawful and transparently disclosed.
6
Job Listings and Opportunity Posts
All listings published through the platform must be accurate, lawful, genuine, and sufficiently detailed to allow users to understand the nature of the opportunity.
Listings must not misrepresent compensation, duties, duration, location, employer identity, deadlines, eligibility requirements, or application processes.
- No listing may involve trafficking, exploitation, forced labour, unlawful deductions, disguised unpaid labour, fake internships, or any activity prohibited by law.
- No listing may contain unlawful discrimination, hate speech, harassment, or content that infringes the rights of others.
- We may edit formatting, request clarification, reject, suspend, archive, or remove listings at any time.
7
Third-Party Reposted Opportunities
Job Hunters may repost, summarise, aggregate, or share third-party jobs, grants, scholarships, fellowships, events, tenders, competitions, internships, training opportunities, and similar information for convenience and information purposes only.
Unless we expressly say otherwise in writing, third-party listings are not created by us, are not verified by us in every case, and are not endorsed, sponsored, recommended, guaranteed, or approved by us merely because they appear on the platform.
- We may have no affiliation, partnership, endorsement, commercial relationship, or control over a third-party opportunity provider.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, legitimacy, safety, deadline, eligibility, funding, payment, quality, or outcome of any third-party opportunity.
- Users must verify all information directly with the original source before applying, paying fees, travelling, attending interviews, submitting sensitive information, or relying on any listing.
- We are not responsible for external forms, external websites, third-party application systems, third-party fees, selection decisions, scams, losses, or damages arising from third-party opportunities.
8
No Guarantee of Employment or Results
Job Hunters does not guarantee interviews, shortlisting, placement, employment, engagement, scholarship awards, visa sponsorship, event admission, funding, payments, employer responses, or any other outcome.
Any matching, ranking, recommendation, or visibility tool we provide is intended to assist discovery and convenience only and does not guarantee a result.
9
User Responsibilities
All users must use the platform lawfully, honestly, professionally, and in good faith.
- Candidates must provide accurate and current profile information and review opportunities before applying.
- Employers must publish truthful listings, treat candidate information confidentially, and use candidate data only for legitimate recruitment purposes.
- All users must comply with applicable law, these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any platform rules we publish.
10
Prohibited Conduct
Users must not misuse the platform, other users, or platform data. The following conduct is strictly prohibited:
- fraud, phishing, fake employer accounts, fake candidate accounts, impersonation, or identity theft;
- posting scam opportunities, misleading listings, or listings designed to solicit unlawful fees, deposits, or sensitive information;
- harassing, threatening, exploiting, or discriminating against candidates or employers;
- scraping, harvesting, reverse engineering, bypassing security controls, or unlawfully collecting candidate or employer data;
- uploading malware, malicious code, spyware, or harmful links;
- using the platform to support human trafficking, money laundering, or other illegal activity;
- copying or extracting substantial portions of our database or platform content without written consent.
11
Candidate Data Shared with Employers
Candidate information may be made visible to employers or shared with employers where reasonably necessary for profile visibility, applications, matching, shortlisting, recruitment workflows, background review, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or other candidate-authorised purposes.
Candidates understand that when they apply for a role or make a profile visible to employers, relevant profile data may be accessed, downloaded, copied, or further processed by the relevant employer or recruiter.
12
Employer Responsibility for Candidate Data
Employers receiving candidate information through the platform must handle that information lawfully, confidentially, securely, and only for recruitment, hiring, verification, or other directly related lawful purposes.
- Candidate data must not be sold, disclosed, or reused for unrelated marketing or profiling without a lawful basis.
- Candidate data must not be retained longer than reasonably necessary for the recruitment purpose or any related legal need.
- Employers remain independently responsible for complying with applicable privacy, labour, and anti-discrimination laws.
13
Fees and Payments
We may charge fees for premium services, employer subscriptions, featured listings, promoted opportunities, verification services, advertising, analytics, or other platform services.
Unless otherwise stated, all fees are payable in the currency specified at checkout and are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated by us in writing.
We may change pricing, billing structures, and payment terms from time to time by updating the relevant service page or notifying affected users.
14
Advertising and Sponsored Content
The platform may display advertising, promoted opportunities, sponsored content, employer branding, or other commercial placements. We may distinguish such content from standard listings where reasonably practical, but we do not guarantee that users will interpret or act on such content in any particular way.
15
Intellectual Property
The platform, its software, look and feel, source code, layout, database structure, brand elements, and all Job Hunters marks, logos, and original content are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Users retain rights in their own lawfully submitted content, but by submitting content to the platform they grant Job Hunters a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable licence to host, store, display, reproduce, distribute, adapt for formatting, process, and use that content for platform operations, recruitment support, moderation, legal compliance, security, analytics, and business continuity purposes.
16
User-Generated Content
Users are solely responsible for the legality, accuracy, permissions, and consequences of content they submit to the platform.
We may review, moderate, edit formatting, reject, block, suspend, archive, or remove any content at our discretion, including where content appears inaccurate, unlawful, risky, abusive, infringing, or inconsistent with our platform standards.
17
Platform Availability
We may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue the platform or any feature, workflow, listing type, or integration at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, uptime, compatibility, storage continuity, or error-free access.
18
Verification and Moderation
We may perform checks, reviews, or moderation steps in relation to employers, candidates, listings, communications, or supporting documents. These checks are discretionary, may be partial, and may rely on third-party information.
Any verification, approval, badge, moderation step, or onboarding decision by us does not amount to a guarantee of truth, safety, legitimacy, legality, solvency, or future conduct.
19
Third-Party Links and Services
The platform may link to employer websites, external application portals, video interview tools, payment providers, analytics tools, email services, event platforms, scholarship portals, cloud storage services, and other third-party services.
We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, security, availability, privacy practices, fees, policies, or outcomes. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to the terms and policies of those third parties.
20
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the platform is provided on an 'as is', 'as available', and 'with all faults' basis.
We disclaim all warranties and representations, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, merchantability, fitness for purpose, availability, non-infringement, title, quiet enjoyment, or suitability for any recruitment, employment, educational, funding, or commercial purpose.
We do not warrant that listings are accurate or current, that employers or candidates are legitimate, that third-party opportunities are safe or lawful, that external links are secure, or that the platform will prevent scams, impersonation, fraud, or unauthorised conduct in every case.
21
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Zimbabwean law, Job Hunters and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, agents, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive loss or damage, or for any loss of profits, loss of income, loss of employment opportunity, loss of data, reputational harm, loss of goodwill, business interruption, or wasted expenditure arising out of or related to the platform.
Without limiting the generality of the above, we are not liable for losses arising from employer decisions, candidate conduct, scams, fake listings, expired opportunities, third-party application processes, external websites, interviews, travel, relocation, visa processes, fees paid to third parties, document submissions, identity theft, or inaccurate or incomplete information posted by users or third parties.
Where liability cannot be fully excluded, our aggregate liability to a user shall be limited to the total amount actually paid by that user to us for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the twelve months preceding the claim, or such lower amount as may be permitted by law.
22
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Job Hunters and its owners, affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers from and against any claim, complaint, action, penalty, demand, loss, damage, liability, fine, cost, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to your use of the platform, your content, your recruitment decisions, your handling of personal information, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
23
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, remove, or terminate any account, listing, submission, or access right immediately where we reasonably believe there has been a breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, legal risk, platform abuse, misuse of data, a complaint by another user, or other conduct that could harm users or the platform.
We may retain records relevant to investigations, compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or legal obligations after suspension or termination.
24
Complaints and Reporting Abuse
Users may report fake jobs, scams, privacy concerns, inaccurate listings, abusive conduct, unlawful fees, discrimination, or other misuse of the platform through the platform reporting tools or the contact details published by Job Hunters.
We may investigate or refer complaints at our discretion, but we do not guarantee any particular action, timeline, or outcome.
25
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe.
Before starting formal proceedings, the parties should first attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute by written notice and informal engagement. If the dispute is not resolved within a reasonable period, either party may refer the matter to the competent courts of Zimbabwe or to mediation or arbitration in Zimbabwe where the parties agree to do so.
26
Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the revised version on the platform or by giving other reasonable notice. Continued use of the platform after the updated Terms take effect will constitute acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
